
We will discuss fees with you at the beginning of the work you want us to do and discuss how these are calculated. So far as possible an estimate of the likely fees involved will be given and confirmed in writing.
If the work we are to do for you is going to be protracted then you will be regularly updated in writing on the level of fees incurred and further estimates will be given. We are happy to agree with you how often you want to be updated, be it every 6 months, 3 months or monthly on a longer and/or complex matter.
The benefit to you of the legal work carried out by us as against the ongoing cost will also be regularly reviewed with you.
In property conveyancing work we can provide a fixed fee for you straightaway. We can prepare a Home Information Pack (HIP) for you as well if you are selling.
In some areas of work it is possible for you to set a limit on the amount of work carried out so that you can make sure you do not incur more than an agreed amount before giving instructions for us to carry on.
Arrangements can be made in appropriate cases to pay fees incurred on an interim basis, by instalments, and by standing order.
In some cases we are able to work under a Conditional Fee Agreement - a 'no win no fee' agreement.
